Recognition arrives in Deploy’s first year in market, as more than 15 insurers across 12 countries rely on it for faster, safer rate changes

‍Akur8, the global actuarial AI platform, announced today that Deploy, its cloud-based insurance rating engine, has been named a Luminary by Celent, a global research and advisory firm for the financial services industry, in the 2026 North America and Global editions of its Property Casualty Rating Engine reports. Luminary is the top designation in Celent’s evaluation, reserved for solutions that excel in both advanced technology and breadth of functionality, and typically have a leading market presence.

The recognition comes one year after Akur8 brought Deploy to market in October 2025, and reflects growing demand among insurers for rating engines that sit outside the policy administration system, keep pace with frequent rate changes, and help carriers maintain a competitive edge.

• ISO content support: As a member of the Verisk Strategic Alliance (VSA) partner network, Akur8 is licensed to support customer-imported Verisk's ISO Electronic Rating Content^TM (ISO ERC^TM) for use with Akur8’s rating engine, Deploy. 

Deploy is part of Akur8’s end-to-end pricing platform, which spans data preparation, risk and demand modeling, rate building, regulatory-ready rate management through Rate Repo, market intelligence through Discover, and pricing optimization where regulations allow. 

Faster Integration with Guidewire PolicyCenter

In August 2026, Akur8 launched the Akur8 Deploy Rating Accelerator on Guidewire Marketplace. Built for PolicyCenter customers, the accelerator provides pre-built mappings, standardized transformation logic, and validation scripts between PolicyCenter and Deploy’s rating API, cutting integration timelines from months to weeks.

Deploy returns itemized rating factors and premium breakdowns in real time within native PolicyCenter quote workflows, and also supports offline batch re-rating. Once live, actuarial teams can update rating logic, push new rates, and launch revised products directly in Deploy, without IT tickets or a PolicyCenter redeployment.
