The 2025 CAS Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar & Workshops (CLRS) will take place September 8–10, 2025, at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Hosted jointly by the Casualty Actuarial Society and the American Academy of Actuaries, CLRS brings together over 600 risk professionals and P&C actuaries for an immersive experience featuring more than 50 sessions led by 60+ industry experts across nine tracks — from advanced reserving techniques and financial reporting to InsurTech/AI innovation, social inflation, and machine learning applications.

Michael Henk
Michael is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in loss reserving analyses, including reserve variability analyses, across various lines of business. He is currently focused on driving the development, implementation, and support of Akur8’s industry-leading property and casualty loss analysis solutions, including Arius®, Triangles on Demand, and Arius Enterprise. These solutions are trusted by over 400 organizations worldwide, empowering actuarial, risk management, and insurance finance professionals. Michael’s deep technical expertise is instrumental in shaping the future of these solutions. A Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, he is a frequent speaker and active volunteer.
Brian Fannin
Brian Fannin has been an actuary for over 25 years. The data lacks sufficient credibility for him to give a more precise estimate. Brian is an Associate of the CAS, a Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA), and he holds a Masters in Statistics degree. He has worked in a variety of roles in commercial insurance, both primary and excess, here in the US as well as Europe, London, and Asia. He is also the author of the book "R for Actuaries and Data Scientists with Applications for Insurance," published by Actex. He currently works for Akur8 supporting their reserving software.
