Max Martinelli
Max Martinelli is a Managing Director in the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice of EY, where he focuses on P&C pricing, actuarial data science, applied AI and external rating. He has over a decade of experience in actuarial and data science roles, primarily in predictive modeling for personal and commercial lines, and a background in machine learning and computational mathematics. A dedicated collaborator with the Casualty Actuarial Society, he co-designed and led the CAS AI Fast Track bootcamp and co-hosts Almost Nowhere, the CAS Institute podcast exploring AI and data science in insurance.

Michael Henk
Michael is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in loss reserving analyses, including reserve variability analyses, across various lines of business. He is currently focused on driving the development, implementation, and support of Akur8’s industry-leading property and casualty loss analysis solutions, including Arius®, Triangles on Demand, and Arius Enterprise. These solutions are trusted by over 400 organizations worldwide, empowering actuarial, risk management, and insurance finance professionals. Michael’s deep technical expertise is instrumental in shaping the future of these solutions. A Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, he is a frequent speaker and active volunteer.

Thomas Holmes
Tom Holmes is Akur8’s Chief Actuary for the US region and is a co-author of the CAS Monograph 13: Penalized Regression and Lasso Credibility. He has experience modeling personal and commercial insurance, and volunteers with the CAS on predictive modeling topics. He is a frequent presenter at CAS events and Akur8 webinars, and performs industry outreach to share actuarial modeling methodologies and best practices. Tom is a Fellow of the CAS and holds music degrees from the University of Michigan and Ohio University.
