Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) - Akur8 Webinar - From Theory to Practice: Lasso Credibility's Impact on Actuarial Pricing
On March 5, 2024, join the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Akur8 webinar titled, "From Theory to Practice: Lasso Credibility's Impact on Actuarial Pricing." Thomas Holmes, Chief Actuary for the US at Akur8, will lead the session that dives into Lasso Credibility, a new actuarial modeling technique using existing tools.
This technique expands the scope of modeling for actuarial pricing analysis and allows for credible results on datasets that would not provide significant conclusions if using traditional GLM approaches. This webinar will introduce the theory behind the technique, explain its strengths and weaknesses, provide best practices for its implementation, and introduce expected pricing use cases for this methodology.
You don't need to be a CAS member to participate. Register for FREE to access the live and recorded version of the webinar. Those attending will receive CE credits as well!
