Insurance Pricing Strategy Conference with the ICEA: the Actuary in a Changing World and the Potential of Machine Learning
Actuaries usually face challenges such as unprecedented rate increases, the need to simulate the effects of applying different tariffs to clients, or the pricing of innovative products. More and more insurers are using machine learning-based tools to automate tasks, reduce lead times and reduce risks, with approaches based on transparency and auditability, to meet legal requirements.
In this conference, we will analyse the current situation of insurance, together with the most important business, actuarial and advanced analytics trends. We will see some case studies and discuss with some insurers about the challenges they are most concerned about.

The ICEA - Cooperative Research between Insurance Companies and Pension Funds - is the Research arm of the Spanish Insurance Industry and is responsible for compiling and publishing all of the industry statistics. The Association also performs research in areas relating to the insurance business, analysing market trends and performance, as well as provide a Training and Advice in all areas that affect the insurance activity.
