Within Munich Re’s Global Consulting Unit, Davide is leading the development of solutions in personal lines. He is based in Munich, Germany, and works with clients in the UK, Europe, Latin America as well as the Middle East. Previously, he headed Actuarial Analytics at Generali (Germany). Davide is Munich Re’s global product owner for the insurance pricing software Akur8. He occasionally writes white papers and gives university lectures or keynote speeches at conferences. Davide worked as Associate Lecturer in Astrophysics at the University of Sydney in Australia and the Max Planck Society in Germany.
Shuaib is the Head of Pricing: Commercial and Specialist lines at Hollard Insure, where he has worked for 4 years. In his current role he is focused on pricing, portfolio and exposure management. Previously, he worked at a consultancy where he focused on reserving, capital modelling and regulatory compliance. Shuaib has long had an interest in the application of automation in the actuarial field, and he has presented on this topic at several ASSA seminars.
Anton Meissner is an experienced Actuarial Analyst specializing in short-term pricing at King Price Insurance. With a deep understanding of the South African insurance landscape, he excels in implementing data-driven strategies, predictive modelling, and cutting-edge technologies for optimized insurance pricing and risk assessment. He leads pure premium modelling and remains dedicated to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
Pedro is a Sales Director at Akur8, having previously worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and done his MBA studies at INSEAD. He has been supporting Akur8 customers across the globe in their journey towards higher pricing sophistication since 2020.
Ryan works at Akur8 as a Sales Executive for Canada, South Africa and Israel. Having previously worked as an account manager for Park Place Technologies and completed his Msc in Innovation management at Loughborough university. His role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to understand their evolving strategies and requirements and ultimately bring solutions to help compliment these strategies.
